Navigating in the wilderness can be one of the most important aspects of your survival because if you get lost in certain parts of the world you may never find your way out. While the implementation of GPS has been extraordinarily important in modern society, it has also become a huge crutch to people venturing into the wilderness. GPS will fail you at some point and when your technology fails, you need to make sure you can find your way out of the bush with the map and compass. These two items will never fail you if you are trained to use them. Land navigation is a perishable skill and is something you have to constantly be training on in order to be good at it. So even if you have taken courses in the past or think that you know how to navigate then this is definitely a course you should consider.

-primitive navigation and direction finding
